Has anyone got any advertising advice for folksy users who don’t use Facebook or Twitter (if there’s any out there apart from me lol)
There are lots actually. You could:
leave business cards in places where it’s allowed
pay for advertising in magazines, sites, blogs, or you could find out how they feature shops
participate in Forums, blogs
organise a small house party
work on your shop and SEO so you are found in searches
go to craft fairs
open shops in other sites too
use Pinterest, Flickr and other similar sites
word of mouth
have sales, offers on shipping, coupons etc
There are lots of ways that don’t involve social media if you are not into it.
Excellent suggestions as I’m not very good with social media. Thanks for sharing
From the title of this thread I thought it was a warning not to use FB or twitter! I wondered what had gone wrong with them!lol
I’m one of the few people I know who is not on facebook, but I do use twitter and pinterest and have a blog.
I agree with all the points @Minerva has mentioned
You could also work on submitting to magazines press releases and interviews by bloggers.
Blogging is a good way to go, however like all social media networking it requires effort to maintain, keep up and join in otherwise it becomes a one way traffic lane and that doesn’t work.
Any social media, or no social media, people will not buy your products online if they can’t find them, so I think it is important to work on SEO and also to have great photographs if you want any success online. Good Luck!
@Louisa15 lol sorry I forgot the question mark!!
@Minerva thank you for the great suggestions, I do use pintrest and buisiness cards etc. I will look into opening a blog.
