Hello everyone! Hope you’re having a magical day today. I’m katie and I run the guinea pig wheekly shop. I’m kinda new to folksy but so far everyone has made me feel super welcomel I wondered if there’s any fellow small pet / guinea pig lovers here I’d love to connect and say hello.
I’m also writing up a gift guide submission for folksy so looking for go to guinea pig gifts to spread the piggy love and cheer this year. If anyone has a shop they recommend I’d love to check it out!
I paint quite a few rodents but that’s actually one animal I’ve never done, maybe I need to try one out! I always have to make sure I’ve got a few rat things in my shop though to keep the girls happy (there’s currently 6 asleep in a cage behind me).
I did a rat themed Folksy Friday last week and was surprised there’s barely any rodent beds on here. I saw yours and thought they look lovely (just couldn’t include it for rats when they don’t hang).

Thanks! I’ve just made it to a full year on here. After a very lazy attempt a few years ago I made sure to stick it out this time. It’s been a bit of a slow start but I love the site (everyone’s so friendly) so I want to make it work.
No, I’ve been on that big other handmade site for about 13 years now, but for a few years it seems like every change they make just irritates me. It doesn’t really feel like it’s the right site for me any more, so I’m trying to switch to here. I’ve still got that one open for now, but with a bit less stock than here (and I point all my social media links here)… I just need the customers to switch now!
