Are you featured in regional gift guides?

Hi Chris @ChrisStoneArtist, sorry, only just got your message, the only way I could find the Made in the Home Counties Gift guide was through google, and the still had no idea how to list anything, sorry to be so thick! Not that good with this new fangled stuff :cry::cry:

On the front page thereā€™s:
ā€œOur favourite finds on Folksyā€
ā€œTheme of the dayā€
Folksy animation
ā€œNew items from sellers you followā€
ā€œA selection of our gift ideasā€ - these are the gift guides, and if you click ā€œsee moreā€ next to these youā€™ll get a list of them all (regional and otherwise). The ā€œMade in the Home Countiesā€ gift guide is currently showing as fifth row down for me (on a computer).

We canā€™t list anything on them as theyā€™re all selected by the people at Folksy, but we can make suggestions. Some of the guides have threads on the forum, such as ā€œSuggestions for our Gifts for Makers Gift Guideā€, and the regional ones also seem to have related pinterest boards, which you can ask Folksy to invite you to so you can add pins to the board, and if they like what youā€™ve pinned they might add it to the gift guide. Itā€™s best to suggest items with a really good first photo as thatā€™s what theyā€™re looking for.

Disappointed I am not in the Made in Yorkshire Gift Guide - but there you go :upside_down_face: Maybe one day ā€¦

How do you join the pinterest boards? Iā€™ve looked but canā€™t find anywhere to join. Iā€™ve joined the knit board but i was invited by folksy to join that.

I was wondering the same thing, and how do you ask Folksy to invite you to join one. Iā€™ve been on here a couple of years now and still donā€™t know half of it :joy::joy::joy: xx

Never mind, Iā€™ve been here 7 years :see_no_evil::joy::joy:

@Knittingtopia Iā€™m not sure how you do it in general. Folksy posted invites for a lot of the regional boards on the Facebook group though, so if you search the area on there itā€™ll hopefully come up with the invite link.

Thank you.

Hereā€™s a list of the regional Pinterest boards that are collaborative @konyskiw @Knittingtopia @junemccabe. To join, you should be able to just click the link below and then, once youā€™re a member, you can start pinning relevant things from Folksy. However, the invitations donā€™t always work (especially from tablets), so if you have any problems let us know, with a link to your Pinterest account and weā€™ll try to invite you individually.

There was! Sorry. It should be there now. Give me a shout if Iā€™ve missed any other ones off.

Hi @clarefolksy

Any chance I could be in the East Midlands or South Yorkshire guide?

So this is new to me, how does it work? Is there one for Bristol?

@folksycontent
Iā€™ve seen the gift guides section but all the posts for suggestions are from 2015, are they still valid? Because people are still adding to them. Iā€™m from Manchester and would love to know how I can submit in made in Manchester gift guides.

Hello, how do I get added to the regional guide to Bristol and Bath please @clarefolksy ?

@clarefolksy, I am a little curious as to why the Isles of Scilly have been taken out of Cornwall (and in turn the United Kingdom) and placed with the Channel Islands. They are nearly 200 miles apart. The Scilly Isles are part of the county of Cornwall and have a Truro postcode!

Iā€™ve added a few of your items to the ā€˜Made in the Midlandsā€™ gift guide

This is the gift guide covering Bristol: https://folksy.com/themes/made-in-bristol-somerset

Iā€™ve added a few of your items
