Back Home after stay in hospital

Hi Everyone, just thought I would say hello to my Folksy friends having just returned back home from being rushed to hospital. Eleven days ago at 8.15am I was rushed by blue light to the resuscitation unit at our main hospital in Cornwall with sepsis on the lungs and then told I had also had a heart attack! It was very frightening. When needed in a dia emergency the NHS is first class. An ambulance was at the front door within five minutes. I can’t fault the care i received in hospital during my stay. It would be nice to make a sale to peark me up. It’s going to take a long road to my full recovery as a disabled person. I have reopened my shop and my husband will sort out any orders! If anyone is feeling down about a lack of sales please don’t fret, when the chips are down being alive is more important. Just to smell and feel the cold air on face was invigorating when being wheelchaired to the car to come home. I am a little down but told it is to be expected.

What a frightening experience for you. Wishing you a speedy recovery. And some sales to put a smile on your face! But as you say, these experiences put things into perspective.

That sounds extremely distressing, so pleased that you made it through :hugs:
No wonder you feel a little down - something like that must lead to a whole life re-evaluation.

Thank you Sarah. I will not be doing any social media activity as I get very tired quickly! Just tried to do some knitting; managed two rows!!!

Thanks so much Brenda. I will keep going by doing a bit at a time and stay positive. I have so much knitwear to photograph and list but I just don’t have any strength at the moment. As soon as i feel strong enough you will see my colourful hand knits again. At the moment even eating is exhausting!

I have always told you that your knitwear stands out as top quality and beautifully made, so take your time and keep creating x

That sounds very frightening for you and your husband. I hope you make a swift recovery and get your strength back.

Thanks for sharing that vital life lesson, you are so right about being alive and smelling the fresh air. It won’t be long until Spring comes and being outside in some sunshine will help to heal you. x

How terrifying for you both, Gail.

Wishing you all the best for your recovery with very gentle ‘virtual’ hugs to you and your husband. :purple_heart: :purple_heart: :purple_heart:

On my goodness Demelza, you’ve had a very traumatic experience, I’m glad you’re recovering well at home. You’re bound to feel a bit down as you’ve been through a very thought changing situation, hopefully your mood will improve over the next few days and weeks. Take care of yourself xx

Thank you so much. Gail

Thanks so much for your best wishes. Having friends on Folksy is a true testonomy to our very special close community we have built and we all value it.

Thank you so much

Thank you. Not helping having a back garden under water with two cockapoo dogs. My poor husband is pulling his hair out trying to keep the house clean from constant muddy dust going everywhere no matter how many times in a day he cleans the kitchen floor whilst trying to look after me!

That must’ve been so scary for both of you, but so glad you got the best care from Treliske and that you’re now home and on the mend. Take your time to rest, and be kind to yourself, you’ve been through a very tough time. xx

A very frightening experience, wishing you all the best with your recovery. Good to see you back and your lovely shop open. xx

I too had a blue light rush to hospital a few years ago where they found I had a heart condition, a very anxious time.

Oh gosh, that must have been so frightening. I hope you feel better very soon and you’re right, life is much more important than sales. Take good care of yourself. x

Thanks so much, I can’t believe how much time I am asleep!

@DemelzaDesigns That sounds so scary but I am so glad that you are at least at home now and can start recovering. Glad you have reopened your shop, it gives you something else to concentrate on for a while to take your mind off of your problems. That is what I have found after losing my husband last April. Take care and be very, very kind to yourself. xx
