Bit Quiet in my shop

Hi Stephen,

At the risk of throwing even more information at you and confusing things, I think that the very best tool to use to share all your links with people in one place is Linktree - and it’s free!

Once you’ve set it up, you can post a link in the profile of your Instagram account and it will then be super easy for people to find you everywhere you want them to.

It is super easy to set up, but if you need any help, I found you a great instructable on YouTube (I owe most things I know to YouTube!), which you can find here.

Hope that’s helpful.

Debbie I think Stephen needs to get to grips with setting up the links he already has before adding an extra level.
@stephenallen1 Stephen not sure why can’t get the Instagram URL into your shop settings on here if there’s a way to help then please ask. Xx

You get to your social media url entries from your
Dashboard
Shop Appearance
and simply need to copy / paste the required URL into the appropriate box and then hit the update button…eg

You did have it in there correctly at first, it was your Facebook url which was wrong and the Url on your Instagram page to get back here to your shop.

Something you might find useful, and not everybody knows this (but I’m ex-IT so very used to trying things out) …you can have more than one session of Folksy on the go at once… at least you can from a laptop or PC. So I actually just did that little snippet from a second Folksy window while keeping this one open so I could copy the url from where I typed it above yesterday).

Hi Stephen. I’ve fixed the Instagram link in your Folksy shop for you.

You had it set to:
http://adorepainting instagram

Whereas it needed to be the whole URL for your Instagram account:
https://www.instagram.com/adorepainting

Now you just need to change the link in your Instagram profile to this:

https://folksy.com/shops/stephenallen1

Copy that and paste it into your profile on Instagram and it should work.

Hi Stephen. The link on your Instagram still needs changing. Copy this link:
https://folksy.com/shops/stephenallen1

Then paste it into your profile on Instagram – where it currently says https://folksy.stephenallenartist/

Oh god ! Never thought will sort immediately
Cheers

Sorted it now hopefully w

Stephen I’m sorry but the link on your Instagram page is still as it was

You must include the https:// in front of the Folksy…https://folksy.stephenallenartist/

xxxx

Sorted I think !,

Hi Stephen,
Your shop is looking great. I think this is the link you need
(Your IG icon currently takes you back to your Folksy shop)

:crossed_fingers:t2:
And good luck with the sales.

You have lovely paintings in your shop. You said that they are small samples, however the price could be a bit higher for your work.
I noticed spelling and punctuation errors, what is a little bit irritating when you read your about piece. (Not that my English is perfect; it is my second language. Also I am a new art shop owner here and need to learn still a lot).
I wonder if you offer full size paintings? Are you planning to offer those for sale on Folksy?
Good luck with your shop.
By reading these type of discussions I am learning a lot. Thank you all.
Kind regards Marjan

Thanks for advice so kind given up with Instagram.

You prices are very reasonable. I have stuff in my own shop for £30 +. I love your fox pendant.
