Press Loft are already asking for photos regarding Christmas for the magazines etc. So, yes, Christmas in May is kind of relevant in some areas. Not sure if Folksy still subscribe to PL but I do know other places do. I’ve got an account with them and I’ve been featured many times in magazines.
My baubles are listed year-round, until they sell out. Over the years I have sold a huge amount of single baubles like this and boxes of 6 that were very different from the single ones and they have all been different - no two were the same, neither were the boxes of 6. Some were similar, but always different in some way, and often purchased together by one buyer. What I have in the shop now is all that is left.
I leave my Christmas stock in place all year round . I pick up Christmas presents throughout the year so I don’t get any angst when it gets nearer, so I assume other people may do that too. Last week, someone bought my upcycled sixpence snowmen earrings!
I’m glad it’s not just me Silvana @SilvanaJewellery. Yes someone brought some Christmas cards from me in February so people must be looking all year round.
I buy all year round and squirrel away gifts. Already made some of the special cards, made me think need to get a few more done. The normal ones are already done. Got Birthday gifts up to 18th October and cards done up to 22nd August.
According to my stats I recently had some views of my Christmas reindeer bags and star and tree bags - neither listing is active at the moment so presumably the person(s) had seen an old social media or forum post. I do say in my announcement that if an item is “unavailable” it might have expired rather than sold, but not sure if many read that. Now I am in 2 minds as to whether to list them again now, or to wait till Sept as I had planned. I have to plan very carefully what to keep listed and what to let drop, else my listing fees wipe out profit (they are well below £70 per year, so not going to upgrade yet). Just need some sales to get some income in the kitty, so to speak.
