I am having a huge clear-out and have lots of card and paper I have bulk bought in the past and haven’t ever used - or don’t use now. My question is, can I sell it in my existing shop by just adding a “craft supplies” section? Or is that a really bad idea? I have some listed on eBay but sales on there have seriously nose-dived in the 25 years I’ve been on there I’ve also donated opened packs to a local charity who do craft workshops. Ideally, I’d like (need) to make some money from it all, if that’s possible…
I went back to eb.. this year and have sold a lot of craft items, I moved all my slow stitching kits over as well, have sold a few, they didn’t get looked at on here. I’ve really got into declutterring this year, my youngest is currently buying his first property so contemplating downsizing in a couple of years, thought I had better start declutterring now. We need to do the loft before it lands in the bedrooms lol.
I know what you mean (decluttering). I have accumulated way too much and simply can’t afford to have it sat around here doing nothing. I used to sell clothes from wardrobe clear-outs in no time on eB. Either my clothes are no longer desirable or sales have just tanked in general because nothing is selling. My other shop has ground to a screeching halt so I’m at a stage where I’m selling the family jewels or I’ll have to close my business and get a job! The thought of which, after all these years, is terrifying! Good luck with your decluttering
I hope things pick up for you, I think a lot of sellers are finding it quieter this year, talking of family jewels I am thinking of parting with some of mine lol..I can no longer wear gold and my daughter doesn’t like it so might sell some on.
I had a ridiculous amount of clothes and boots and donated 15 black bin liners and have got rid of around 30 plus pairs of boots. Wouldn’t mind but I’ve always cleared them out twice a year, (not enough obviously). I’ve now started selling them again on eb.. and including a few bear kits and slow stitch kits have made over £500 on there since January, almost half of the sales are probably my kits for my business but the rest from declutterring so maybe stick at it if you can. It is hard work trying to do it all and keep up with my business but I’m getting there slowly.
