Congratulations on your sales Hilary @kokoblue and your milestone.
Apologies for missing your last sale Carol @carolsmalleydesigns - sorted now.
Oh dear Max @MaxPringJewellery that does look poorly. Great excuse to buy yourself an early Christmas present though.
I donāt like any foreign food Hilary @kokoā¦so it is fish and chips or go without x
Oh dear Max @MaxPringJewellery ā¦can you claim on any insurance policy?..I am glad that at least you can get a new oneā¦xx
Oh dear, Max @MaxPringJewellery. Francisās kiln did a rather similar thing last year and had to be replaced, though it didnāt owe him anything. Heād had it since about 1985!
Our grandson managed two whole days of birthday celebrations. We spent all this morning bowling. He loved it. I now have a very achy arm and shoulder!
I have another new listing: Unicorn T-shirt for a 2 year old
Iām not surprised heās nervous, that shows itās important to him. Heāll be great once he gets going! X
Strangely enough Brenda @teabreaks, thatās what Iāve just had for tea!
Oh Max @MaxPringJewellery, that sounds like a lot of hassle and a big expense, what a nightmare.
Evening all
Itās late one from me today.
Congratulations on your sales and milestone Hilary @kokoblue
Sorry to hear your kiln has broke Max @MaxPringJewellery! Must be very expensive to replace
My listing tonight is a gory one so hope it doesnāt offend anyone too much. It is nearly Halloween!
Sadly itās well out of warranty, around 7 years old. Not covered by any breakdown insurance Brenda @teabreaks itās served me well so I canāt complain, if it hadnāt damaged the fire bricks the replacement parts would have only been around Ā£30. Lesson learned Iāll make sure thereās an extra fire brick underneath next time, also means thereās less tax to pay next year as Iāll get tax relief on the new one.
Sweeny Todd takes me back, Christopher @thehorrorcrafter. My father was a headmaster of a London Comprehensive school in 1964, and his drama group put on a performance of the Victorian melodrama Sweeny Todd. It was wonderfully gory! I can still hear those kids singing āIām Sweeny Todd the barber. Wicked thoughts I harbour. HO ho ho, Iāll polish you off!ā And I can see the boy taking a bite of meat pie, looking surprised and exclaiming: āA jacket button? A jacket button! How did a jacket button get into a pie?ā I was 18 at the time.
Thank you, Alison. xx
Congratulations on your milestone, Hilary @kokoblue x Well done also to everyone else with sales. x
Sorry to hear your kilnās had its day Max @MaxPringJewellery Such a shame it ruined your beautiful cabs. x
What a fabulous memory Joss @XStitcherJoss
Sweeney Todd always fascinated me as a child.
I remember watching the broadway production starring George Hearn & Angela Lansbury and being absolutely transfixed. It was such an amazing musical filled with so much tension and atmosphere.
Last year I took my boys to the London Dungeons and part of the interactive attraction involved meeting Mrs Lovett in her pie shop acting out what will happen if Sweeney catches you. It was so immersive and easy to forget you were part of an experience.
I would definitely recommend a visit if youāve never done it before. Thereās a section where everyone is ushered into Sweeneyās barber shop to sit in one of his chairs. The room goes dark and you can feel his breath on the back of your neck.
Very creepy but lots of fun.
That brings back memories Joss - we did some of those songs at school
Congratulations on the milestone Hilary @kokoblue
Sorry to hear about the kiln Max @MaxPringJewellery
The fair was quite quiet this morning but I made a few sales and chatted to people I hadnāt seen for a while so it was successful overall. I asked one or two people if theyād started their Christmas shopping yet but they hadnāt - probably still a bit early for a lot of people.
Just going to put up the invitation for the November thread if anyone is up for it
Thanks everyone!
It was a busy day yesterday as boy wanted make pumpkin soup (family recipe);to make and freeze to take back to uni. While we were at it made pumpkin bread. Then later in the evening we all (husband, boyās girlfriend, boy and I) went to a scare park.
I even got a wee bit of craft room time in!
Today I am sharing some cards made from quilling. Something I enjoyed in the past and found a load of things made and never had done anything with them so I made cards.
Here is a set.
Good morning all, have the grandchildren for a few hours this morning before they go away for a week so I expect weāll end up making something
Glad the fair went well Mel @aquilacrafts . Sounds like you are having a lovely time @ButterflyThistleCreativeCrafts . Hope you all have a nice day xx
Good morning all,
@MaxPringJewellery Sorry to hear about your kiln
Morning All,
A very early one for me! Anyone else a complete failure with clocks changing? So years ago Mr Long Suffering and I agreed that as Iām a complete numpty trying to get my head round it, he would take charge and just sort the clocks and explain in words of one syllable what time to go to bed and get up. I got up at 4.47am The dogs are so confused
Heās just made me commiserating cup of coffee
as heās just surfaced.
Hope everyone else had a good night and will have a peaceful day.
Todays listing
Charming, Small Sized, Fabric, Zippered Pouch F⦠- Folksy
Good Morning.
Remembered the clocks changing (even changed them all last night) but my body thought otherwise and I was awake at 5:30. So I have finished my book, drunk my coffee and now wondering what next ⦠I guess Iāll just give in and walk the dog and let the day catch up with me along the way
Nothing planned for today although I must tidy and hoover (taken a back seat while Ive been prepping for pop up) If the weather is good I might take Holly down to Stourhead to see the autumn colours.
