# Discount code help!

Hi everyone, hope you all keeping safe busy like little bees with your crafting.  
I need so advise. I want to put a discount offer on my Folksy shop and just wanted to know how I go about this? Thanks in advance for your help xxx

Go to your shop dashboard and down the left hand side at the bottom of the section entitled **Shop Settings** you should find **Discount Codes**.  
Click **Create New**  
Give the code a name  
Add a percentage discount  
Add an expiry date (if applicable)  
Depending on when you want the discount to start, either tick the **active** box on or off and then click **create**.  
You can set codes up in advance and just click the **active** box when you want it to start.

Thanks so much Alison. I assume then the buyer just adds the code when they get to payment and it automatically creates the discount? xxxx

Yes. There is a field to fill in the code when they go through the checkout process.
