Do you have a favorite spot in your home for product photos

We all know how critical product photos are ! and plain backgrounds are often the way to go BUT do you have a corner of your home that works well for you for ?

Since I started making lampshades https://folksy.com/shops/WittyDawn/collections/265733-home-decor-and-vintage-fabric-lampshades I have found a few places that work well for me I think! and these get more engagement for me on social media tham very plain shots.

We have a gold painted wall in out bedroom - oh that took A LOT of painting , never again! - my lampshades do look nice against it.

And this carboot wallpaper covered wall works well for my very retro lampshades

… and this in a genuine corner of our 70s styled dining room. This is how it looks all the time! but I am about to make a taller tapered lampshade . The only problem with using this picture in social media is that I get a few ’ can I buy the lamp base ? ’ requests!

Share your photography ‘home styled’ shots please !

Your photos are great Dawn, they show off your lampshades perfectly. I love the blue one with the leaves.
I don’t have a favourite place to photo my jewellery but I like to do it between 11am and 1pm if possible as I find the light is best then. Sounds a bit daft but the best of my photos, and I take a lot to get 5, are taken at this time of day on preferably on a cloudy but bright day. I have a shelf of things to photograph at the moment at I just keep putting it off. It’s the bit I hate the most.

yes very bright direct sunshine is no good - too many shadows! I like the photography / edit bit , it helps a lot that I don’t have to set up a spot but can just use an area in the house.
