Please send congratulations to your clever daughter, a first! Amazing result, even if she can’t quite believe it herself!

Just back from weekly swimming with my daughter, got a bit chilly walking into town after the swim, but hubby met up with us and we went and had a late lunch.

My item for today is a relist, as it’s the perfect weather for ducks!

Afternoon all.
Just a relist from me today. Tech doesn’t seem to be playing ball, so I give up.

Hi Cat @BabanCat my partner would certainly recommend the hot choc in the Norweigan Church - he definately was sharing! Food was lovely there too.
All caught up to here. Have a great evening everyone.

I’m a bit late today as I had a physio appointment this afternoon and then had to take my daughter to work. I had an absolute disaster yesterday. The cork exploded out of a bottle of Asti in the wine rack in the kitchen and the whole of the kitchen and dining room were sprayed with Asti. I had loads of WIP on the dining room table :scream: I was making a love birds cushion for Saturday’s theme but the appliqué pieces got ruined. I need to go through everything on the table and see what can be salvaged but I just can’t face it yet. I’m struggling to regain my enthusiasm to make anything now. At least I still have some finished things to keep going on the thread for a little while.

Today’s listing is a large coin purse in the country kitchen and farmyard fabric that I’ve been using recently.

@PocketfulCreations I hope you have some more bottles in that wine rack, sounds like you need a good glass to relax after that disaster!

@junemccabe Don’t worry, when I said I had a little stash, this is the vodka shelf…

I don’t drink much at home so it tends to gather (out socialising is another matter ), although I’ve got a bit of a sore throat now so I think I’ll need some medicinal tormentil root vodka tonight (the things you discover when you buy random bottles of alcohol on holiday).

Haha Kim, there’s plenty more wine in the rack and I have a nice Shiraz on the go right this moment! :joy:

That’s a lovely fox @thedotterypotter
Oh, and all you showery people, I’m definitely one of you. I used to love a good soak in the bath, but these days there is a distinct possibility that once I got in, I wouldn’t be able to get out!

No worries Cat - you, me and Kim @konyskiw can sit in the corner with our vodka while the rest get on with their gin!!

Interesting what you said about college though - my daughter’s school doesn’t have a 6th form so she’s having to go to somewhere else anyway for A levels. But having done the rounds of open evenings a few months ago she was crossing off all the 6th form schools without a backward glance: she couldn’t bear the idea of rubbing shoulders with ‘little kids’ anymore! So we’re keeping everything crossed for her for this interview next week: if it doesn’t come through she’s going to have to reconsider some of those 6th forms!

Oh no, Helen - what a nightmare for you!!! Hope you do manage to salvage most of it and there isn’t too much damage. x

All loved and pinned to here I hope. My apologies if I’ve missed anyone. I’ve banged my arm and sprayed Freeze on it. It’s not serious but I bruise easily. Trouble is my daughter’s cat loves it and rolled on the floor where the spray landed. He’s a little overwhelmed and WW3 has broken out. He really is a bruiser!

Caught up to here.
Thanks for the appreciation of my meadow painting @erkinwald, @konyskiw, @thedotterypotter, @jenniesgems, @junemccabe.
Congrats to your daughter @SueTrevor
Lovely earrings @DeborahJonesJewellery.
Love the tree of life @Verchielbeadsandjewellery.
Great wall plaque @PhotoFairytales.
Lovely purse @PocketfulCreations. Sorry to here about your nasti asti episode. You could invite people around to lick it off the walls?
Congrats to all those with sales.
A new gift shop that has opened in town has asked me to produce some (very) locally themed greetings cards, which they would purchase from me for resale at quite a good price, rather than usual sale or return. Sounds promising.
If they want it very local, do I paint the nail bar or the betting shop? Seriously, Liskeard and environs is not without its pleasing vistas, so it should be fun and hopefully lucrative.
