That’s a brilliant butter dish @junemccabe
Oh I can so sympathise with the commissions sagas. I always feel I should be rejoicing if I get one, but usually I feel a stone drop to the pit of my stomach! Why is it so hard just to say No!
Mimosas did me proud last year, I had no idea how much people love them. I squeezed out a last purse and 3 cards from the last fraying little corner this morning!
Afternoon
That poem is great Brenda @teabreaks - really clever and so apt
Enjoy your holiday @TheCornishHare
Max I have a sale to report, thanks @MaxPringJewellery
Here is mine for today
Carol xx
Hey hey everyone, I hope January is being good to you all so far. Today I added this pretty pink rose quartz hair comb.
Yay, pretty good light level today , so ,managed to get a few of my new items photographed !! So here is the first of my felted bowls / desk tidies …
Hello. Here is today’s listing. Going back to start catching up x
Have a great holiday Karen @TheCornishHare. @LemonandGinger I love your little stitch markers. @Bearlescent your little bear is gorgeous. I do hope that you decide to put some more of your listings up on this thread. I also love your little polar bear @lilylilyhandmade.
Ah yes – commissions! I have 4 on the go just now and there are glitches with each of them. Not the customers’ faults on the whole. It’s me; forgetting to order components until I have started making it, or ordering the wrong ones, or suddenly realising that what I am making isn’t exactly what they asked for. If I wasn’t making the things to order, none of these things would matter. But there you go – they are all lovely customers.
A new listing from me today. There’ll be a little pendant to match this (consisting of just one of the little medallion units) in a few days time.
Hello everyone sorry for the quick in and out, will be back later, for now here is my listing.
Natalie x
All caught up to here, though I may have missed a few in the middle! Love your collection of animals Brenda @teabreaks, and that poem is brilliant! I don’t do crochet but procrastination is my middle name, so it definitely chimes with me! Chris @ChrisStoneArtist, your lovely van reminds me of when I used to take my Dad along the seafront for an ice cream in his wheel chair - happy days! A new listing for today.
Thank you Dottery Pottery…I showcased a new bear yesterday and I noticed he has received a few likes in my shop which was lovely so must have been from this thread. I will be able to join in for a couple of weeks at least if I can add items from my shop, thank you it seems very friendly and somewhere people can have a catchup and a chat…great I will try to add something tomorrow x
Thank you I will try to keep adding items from my shop.
Hope your commissions work out, I’m sure they will in the end x
This is lovely and very different x
All loved and pinned to here.
Hopefully I’ll be able to post before my stitching class tomorrow.
Awww this is so cute
Evening all,
Love the poem Brenda @teabreaks.
Have a great holiday Karen @TheCornishHare
Really enjoying seeing everyone’s ACEOs (past and present) - most inspiring. I might have a go myself if I can dig out some paints.
Apologies for being late today, I have a poorly hen who has been coughing, wheezing and sneezing all day. After a trip to the vet this afternoon, she has anti-biotics and anti-inflammatories and I’m £50 worse off. She’s currently enjoying a 5 star stay in the utility room with a bowl of steaming menthol.
Aww’ little poorly hen Hope she perks up soon x
Phew all caught up! I fully intended to post on here over the weekend but it just didn’t happen… which resulted in over 200 posts to catch up on! Still, we did manage to pop into town and book a cruise. We’ve been planning it for a while, we’d picked the cruise, the company and the ship but couldn’t decide what deck or whether to plump for fore, mid or aft. So rather than book online and get it wrong we asked the advice of a specialist travel agent.
Just another re-list from me
I managed 3hrs sleep in between the day job but still really tired. Hopefully tonight will be better.
All loved to here.
Sending you soothing sleep vibes Carol @Knittingtopia xx I play Escape to the Country all through the night on my laptop on a constant loop, I’ve seen the episodes so many times, that when I wake in the night, it just sends me back to sleep! I find this also works for Antiques Rd trip too!
Evening everyone. Just bracing myself to go and face the scales tonight at slimming world, having not been for about 4 weeks. I am in the right zone now and determined to stay to class, otherwise I dont motivate myself to loose weight!
Hope you get a better nights sleep Carol @Knittingtopia - I did have a chuckle about the escape to the country and Antiques road trip Sarah @thedotterypotter
How lovely that you have booked a cruise holiday Linda @wildrosedesigns - not something I have done before but would love to.
I occassionally do commission work, but totally with you Brenda @teabreaks - I find that my creative juices dont flow as its some one elses design. Loved your poem Brenda.
I thought I would share some pics with you of me D. I did some resin cabochon and pendant making with my youngest last week and he wanted to hop on and join me on my facebook video. The first one was a practise run, but it was so funny that I made it public anyway. D wanted to show all 56 of his cabochons on camera, but I suggested that a photo would be a better idea!! The vid is still on my feed if anyone would like to see it. !
