We’ll aim to do a round-up on the blog every month, as well as tweeting and sharing them on Pinterest and Instagram - so loads of chances to get featured and get loads more lovely links to your blog and social media platforms

couple of questions. 1. is the theme set for each week or do you choose your own. 2 once you have done your blog, how do you make it known to Folksy. Sorry if this seems stupid. Trying to get back on the horse and not into new Folksy thinking yet

Hi Margaret @slackstitches this blog post should answer your questions about how to join in with folksy friday on the various social media possibilities http://blog.folksy.com/folksy-friday They do announce a theme here on the forum on friday mornings but you can choose one that fits your mood if you prefer - I tend to pick my own and get pinning.

thank you. I picked my own and scheduled it to publish tomorrow. Will leave it at that just now. May mix up doing the suggested them and my own

Don’t see any hints on how Folksy know you have posted on your blog. Do we share it somewhere?

I normally tell them about my new pinterest board via the forum but if you are on twitter etc you could tweet about your new blog post using the #folksyfriday which they will be monitoring and can then retweet it spreading the love.

You can tell us about all Folksy Friday posts on this thread Margaret, or if you share them on social media just add the #folksyfriday hashtag and we’ll find them. Thank you for taking part!

As I’m looking forward to a BBQ with friends tomorrow I’ve themed a Summer Barbie and Garden Party board on Pinterest:

I should be dusting. Giving Bob a surprise Birthday Dinner tomorrow with his 3 children + spouses all invited and I haven’t told him yet (nor started cooking). So as I’m procrastinating with my duster and polish :
I thought I would dream of Sand Sea and Surf.

I loved the ‘Surfs Up’ theme as I live in Cornwall and surfing is going to be included in the 2020 Olympic Games.

I will be away for next Friday’s (2dn September) theme so have chosen my own in advance “Folksy goes to France” (no prizes for guessing where I will be  )
I’ve set up my collection on Pinterest and scheduled a post on the 2nd with a link for my Facebook page from where it will automatically go to Twitter :

Hope you enjoy it.

More of a Folksy Monday, but anyway, here is a Christmas gift guide on my blog with a red and white Folksy theme, and a link to my Pinterest page of Folksy goodies that inspired it.
