I want to add the tracking of google analytics (and bear in mind this is a whole new world to me!), and the instructions on Folksy doesn’t match what I see on the Analytics website. Anyhow, I managed to set it up, but when I go to add the tracking ID (which apparently has now changed to Measurement ID) it doesn’t recognise it. It seems to be something to do with Google having updated the version in October, but I don’t know how to overcome it, or if it is even necessary.
HELP!!!

I used to know (I work in marketing and do a bit of Analytics) but I went to set up Analytics for a client and the new Measurement ID has thrown me. @dougfolksy might have some insight?

Hi, sorry to bring back an old thread, but I use Google Analytics 4 and have the same issue of not being able to enter my ID in Folksy settings. Can anyone help please?

You need it set to UA, not GA4
