I appreciate times are tough, but there seems to be a lot of negative posts about Folksy below. I thought I’d just say that I needed a gift for a friend who’s feeling sad. She loves to sew and likes sloths. And folksy provided! It even has a little free pin badge if she’s not up to sewing ATM. What more could you want? Thank you Two Owls Design!
Sometimes just to cheer myself up I type in the most random thing I can think of into the search box to see what comes up - there are so many weird and wonderful things available to buy that life could never get dull
It is a fact that if 99 out of 100 people are happy they won’t mention it. They don’t really need to they are just getting on with their lives in a positive way.
But if one person is unhappy, for whatever reason, then that is the person who will sing and dance about it.
That’s life unfortunately I’m afraid. Negativity rules for some people.
Now me, my glass has never ever been half empty…maybe it’s my name and certainly here on Folksy where I have been doing happy dances ever since my first sale of an awful lot in 2009.
Onwards and upwards…
PS You can see why I am especially positive today (Plus my new 12 day hip has allowed me to make some suncatchers today)
PPS Best thing is to follow the positive posts on here as they tend to be from the sellers who are happy because they are selling. Negative posts tend to get more negative the longer they get…
so give those a miss
How lovely…
Pleased to hear your new hip is giving so much positivity Joy and you have been able to craft xx
Thanks Debby. I do admit to spending more time napping than normal but I am trying to be sensible and not run before I can walk without my crutches
Ha ha yes please stop trying to run with those crutches Joy
especially with glass in hand…
Take it easy you’ll soon be ‘up and running’ again…
But hey if you do master how to run with them let me know as I tried it with my walking stick and it became a trip hazard.
Take care …lovely photo by the way x
Glad to hear you are back on your pins, and hope you are still getting tea in bed every morning!! xx
I have spent about 500 times more than I have ever earned on Folksy as there are some amazing makers on here! I really should reign in the ‘shopping therapy’!! Happy for you @JOYSofGLASS - you are fortunate to sell well and congrats on your news. However, some of us struggle on here. It can feel very undermining when you’re putting your heart into creating things that nobody wants to buy…However, Folksy is such a supportive platform and the advice and support I’ve received on here has kept me going when I’ve been considering chucking it all in. That’s why I love Folksy!
I’m going to get my Vaxi Badge on Tuesday morning at the local agricultural showground. No jokes about queues of old cows please! Glad to hear you’re pleased with your surgery Joy.
I haven’t been doing very well recently but know some is from covid (masks and earrings don’t mix!). I do need to promote better too, and my photos still need work. It is disheartening to come on the forum and have so many negative posts though. I agree it’s the great supportive attitude that keeps me going
Yes! I’m currently working on some mask friendly stud designs!
