Did I just purchase a bad iron or are they all useless? Russell H\*\*\*s, cost me quite a lot but even on its hottest setting it’s not getting the creases out of 100% cotton 😫 Any recommendations for a quality iron gratefully received 👍

The best iron I have ever bought and I have had a few was a John Lewis iron, still using it. have had some expensive ones but none were as good as this one and it’s really cheap in comparison, i’ve had mine a few years but doubt they will have changed much,
I have a miniature iron for dolls clothes etc and it’s brilliant but not tried a full sized one, it’s a Duronic.

They just don’t seem to make things well these days but then we live in a throwaway world these days… expecting my iron to press cotton is expecting too much I suppose 😂

Got a Breville iron waiting to be thrown out as well. The Kenwood is older 🤣

I’ve got a 20 yr old Morphy Richard’s that’s ok, I think like most things these days, they don’t make them like they used to.

Carrying on the ironing problems… I’m now thinking about investing in a small crafting iron, to help get into those little areas that my useless monster iron has difficulty with. Also with a broken rib it’s extremely painful lifting a big iron, so any recommendations for a small craft iron would be welcome 🙏

Me again 😁…I use a small travel iron from Sainsbury’s (SteamWorks, I think). It only cost about £10 and it’s served me very well.

I have the Prym mini iron. I find it great for smaller projects.

Thanks, I think I may see if I can get a small iron, they are so handy!
