Hi everyone, just wondering if there are any Americans here who might be able to help?

Could someone tell me the dimensions of a standard wall light switch in the US—both single and double, if possible?

I’d also really appreciate it if you could take a quick look at my shop (https://folksy.com/find/shop/GiftsbyLaserBlend). I’m considering making kids’ bedroom light switch surrounds using my current UK designs but adapting them to US sizes—do you think that’s something that might sell?

And one last question—does anyone happen to know the current postage cost for sending a large letter to the USA?

Hi Steve, I’m afraid the American system is not as straightforward as here in the UK, the switches and plates are separate and there are a number of types.

Hopefully this will give you a start;

Eta, don’t even start me on voltages, lamp fittings, wiring colour codes and regulations!
