Note from customer on orders is not obvious at all

Is it just me or has the customer note section become rather invisible.

When I acknowledge an order ( and I always do), I respond on either the Folksy or the Paypal email.
Paypal is easier as it automatically picks up the customer’s email address whereas on the Folksy one I have to pick it out from within the brackets to copy/paste and quite often get it wrong first time.
But…if the customer adds a note to the order this is only on the Folksy email.

Yesterday a customer placed an order for 4 things including 3 different coloured angels. I posted them out today having responded on the Paypal email and not looked at my order page.
Only noticed as I scrolled to bottom of the order to mark as posted that there was a note against the last angel, a blue one. Note asked if they could have a white one !.
Oops.
Now going to ask if they actually wanted a white instead of a blue or as well as and suspect my customer will soon be the fortunate (!) recipient of a free white one as well as the blue as I’m preparing to post it out tomorrow.

Just wondering if anyone else if failing to spot messages like this. Not aware of ever doing it before the most recent order changes.
Also wonder if it’s possible to make them more obvious… i.e in bold at the top not tucked away at the bottom.

Yes it’s easy to miss those messages. For some reason messages from customers seem to be more easily seen if I am using my mobile phone. (Maybe that’s just me) but I definitely agree that they are not easy to see on the orders when on my laptop.

Yes that would be a great idea. I also email them from the paypal order as the email address is clickable xx

Or… @folksycontent could the email address in the Folksy email be made clickable. Would solve the problem.

I had the same problem last week. A customer bought some things and asked if I could make other outfits as a special order. I hadn’t noticed because the note is easily missed. Luckily she messaged me and asked again a few days later but, if she hadn’t, she may have thought I was ignoring her. Sometimes people ask you to add a note to the gift or post part of the order to a different address - this could cause problems if the note was missed. The note just needs to be in a box or in large print or something.

Yes but also just making the email address clickable on the Folksy would mean I used that instead of the Paypal one to check the order details and would have a much better chance of seeing it.
It wasn’t though obvious on the online order as it was an order for 4 things and the note was against the 4th.
My email system is grotty and if I copy paste from the email and it picks up a stray bracket (which is tooooo easy as there is no space between the bracket and the address) my email doesn’t then let me edit to remove it. It it a Pain !

Just off to Ebay to check if customer has left a note against the order for scrap glass… sometimes they ask for specific colours (always hope they don’t as takes much longer to get it out). My husband does the scrap glass, a promotion from my Folksy despatch clerk, but I always have to check for special requests. Need to issue more training !

Ha ha - my husband does occasional work for the dispatch department but his usual duties are in the canteen, keeping me fed and watered
