A little bit of luxury to wrap around your shoulders! The Northmoor Lock Shawl pattern is the design of the talented crochet designer Joanne Scrace. She says "the name comes from the campsite where the shawl was designed ... sat around the campfire, chatting with good friends". This is very much reflected in the design. It is a social, comfortable, and adaptable piece. Worked from side to side rather than the traditional top to bottom (or vice versa) it is fully reversible and easy to wear.
For my version, I have used a yarn that is a mix of wool, acrylic and nylon creating a soft, gentle and flexible piece that can still be machine washed. It is not a solid colour effect and is more like that of a marl, with soft touches of white spun into it. I find this shawl is great for wearing as a scarf or around the shoulders as a shawl.
