Washi tape

I posted on here a few weeks ago about custom packing tape. I wasn’t exactly inundated by replies (well, were, none actually!), but I’ve Come across washi tape. I know nothing about this - would it do as packing tape does anyone know?

I’ve just ordered some paper washi tape and some material washi tape from ebay. I going to experiment with it.

I absolutely love washi tape. I have some really pretty rolls which I actually bought from Folksy.
I use mine for making my packaging look nice :grinning:
Also I put a strip of it across my jiffy bag seal to spruce it up, and give abit of extra security.

Hi Helen

Washi tape is a decorative tape and is made of paper or fabric. I certainly would not use it as a packing tape as it is not, to my knowledge, water proof,

I was thinking of trying it on the inside packing bit ie for wrapping around my tissuse paper before putting it into it’s outside recycled packaging.

I might try using it in my card and note book making.
