Re introducing my shop Kinnaird
I`ve been selling on folksy for a few years now but nothing for a while so not sure I am being seen anymore so thought I would give myself a bit of re-introduction

Hello everyone, great to see such a friendly bunch. I canā€™t believe I waited this long to join!

Hi Everyone,
I was selling on Folksy about a year ago, then took a bit of a break. Am happy to be back.

Hi All, have posted in other threads but thought Iā€™d better do this too. Iā€™ve been on folksy for over a year now but trying to really get it going properly. Iā€™m Paula, have been making jewellery since I was a kid, did a couple of years of silversmithing as mental relaxation during my A Levels. I used to make bead jewellery that was sold to staff, a stall at a school craft fair and so on. My supplier went under so I did, but Uni was looming. Iā€™ve always been creative, cross-stitch and knitting since I was 7, Mum taught me, and growing up overseas there was little tv etc so plenty of time to do crafts. I still made a few bits and bobs of jewellery, something to go with a ballgown and so on. About 6 years ago a friend had commissioned a special dress for the school prom for her form leaving, and I offered to create something to compliment it. Iā€™d forgotten how much I enjoyed it and felt those creative juices flowing again. I found some new suppliers, this time gemstones, rather than shell, plastic, wood and glass and have gone from there. A couple of wirework courses and a true addiction was born. When I see the beauty nature creates, I donā€™t see the point in using anything else now. Most of my sales have been offline but Iā€™d love to really develop online sales. In the real world Iā€™m a Maths Teacher, so often my creativity has to go in fits and starts around the job, the bonus though it a number of regular customers, especially at this time of the year! Iā€™m always interested in feedback, I know some of my photography needs upgrading, Iā€™ve been waiting to see some sunlight for a fortnight now to improve some of them!

Hello! Iā€™m sort of new - Iā€™ve been away doing an illustration degree and am finally back, with a makeover! Take a look at my new look shop =] Itā€™s good to be back on the forums!

I think I clicked the right reply button
Iā€™m very new to crafts in general, Iā€™ve started to whittle wood and Iā€™m just starting out at basketry (both of which stem from a long time interest in bushcraft, with no practical experience haha).

So I donā€™t really have a craft but strangely, wanting to start a craft business!
Any tips or pointers are welcome, even ā€œdonā€™t do it, you know naaaathingā€ will be taken on the chin.

Iā€™m interested in traditional crafts mostly, but the odd shiny thing has caught my eye on here, soā€¦
Hello Folksy!

Hi, Iā€™ve just joined Folksy today. Iā€™m getting my head around the listing process but am still completely baffled by the forums! My shop will be mainly wedding stationery, not much listed yet but Iā€™ve got lots to add. Think it might take me quite some time though!!

Welcome to folksy

Hi everyone itā€™s good to be here. Been introduced to the crafting world by the mother in law. Iā€™ve especially grown to enjoy paper crafting. It fits in well with my graphic design background. Iā€™ve just launched my graphic design shop called sixth brand. I love creating graphics, logos and creating brands for businesses. Looking forward to getting to know you better.

Hi ,

My name is Nina and my shop is called Designed 4doing!

Hello everyone, I used to be on Folksy years ago and now it looks all grown up! So I thought Iā€™d come back and see how it goes! I have only listed three items so far - I sell jewellery making kits for kids - so fingers crossed.

Hi Everyone
My name is Debbie
I am just getting to grips with the forum after spending most of the day listing items, wow doesnā€™t it take
a long time!
I have dabbled with most crafts over the years, but kept coming back to sewing with felt.I just love
the fact that it doesnā€™t fray.
Then i found out about 100% wool felt, the quality and colours being so much nicer than acrylic craft felt.
My love of felt and then the rest of the pretty buttons and ribbons etc led me to selling supplies for other crafters at craft fairs.
I will be selling mainly buttons, ribbons, die cut felt shapes, letters and numbers in my Folksy shop.
Look forward to another day of listing tomorrow, yippeee!
PS. I hope this is in the right place?

Hi Iā€™m Joanne the face behind ā€¦The Prickly Pincushionā€¦ Iā€™ve been on folksy since last July ish ā€¦ I absolutely love making (trying to make) anythingā€¦in fact Iā€™m pretty obsessed !! Knittingā€¦crochetā€¦needle feltingā€¦making mice from felt !! ?.polymer clay doodahs ā€¦stampingā€¦card making ā€¦starting metal stamping ā€¦sewing and Iā€™m the proud owner of my lovely embroidery machineā€¦Iā€™m spending money I havenā€™t really got on crafting supplies and tools that I just couldnā€™t live another day without (sound familiar?) my friends and family all think Iā€™m a bit strange with my craftingā€¦until I make something they love ā€¦then Iā€™m the best thing since sliced breadā€¦for a while anyways haaa !! The problem is Iā€™m just not selling anything on the specialist selling sites that Iā€™m on :sob::sob: itā€™s so dishearteningā€¦any advice/tips greatly appreciated ā€¦thanks for readingā€¦hope I havenā€™t bored you to sleep xx
