šŸ‘‹ Welcome to the Folksy Forums (Read Me)! Introduce yourself here :)

Welcome back. Folksy is a lovely place to be. What beautiful pictures in your shop. Wishing you every success.

Thank you

Hi I have just reopened my Folksy shop after a gap of a couple of years. Hopefully it will be more successful this time.

Wishing you every success.

Thank you Liz Kx

Hello, I’m Dolly and new to Folksy. I tried Etsy (3 times over the last 7 years) and couldn’t get on with it with the fees for this, that and the other. I use crafting as a relaxing hobby from my online retail business. Last year I decided to make the decision to wind the business down and ramp up the crafts, but I had to put a stopper in it until this year. So here I am. New Year, new venue. Hope I can be of use to some sellers and am looking forward to being part of a more relaxed community of sellers and makers.

Hi, I have no idea if I’m doing this right. I’m Claire and I’m a complete newbie here. I design and make cross stitch cards, gifts and download charts.

It feels weird being on a new forum, I’m used to being on Etsy.

Just been slowly listing items and getting a feel for things on here. So, Hi everyone…..

Welcome to Folksy. I will say the same that I have said many times on this thread - I have found Folksy to be easy to use and very friendly. If you get stuck with anything, just ask. Wishing you every success with your shop.

Welcome from me. Just had a glance and saw beautiful items in your shop! Pleased it is going well - I have found Folksy easy to use. It is also a friendly and fun place to be. Wishing you success with your shop.

Hiya everyone, I thought I’d reintroduce myself here again! I started on here early last year but dropped off very quickly due to uni work, full time work and mostly health! But I’m free of uni work (got my degree, yay!) and I’ve been having lots of ups and downs with my ME as well as other health bits contributing….anyway after a horrible start to 2026 (hospital NYE) I set my 2026 goals as health and myself first and the rest will work around  so, I’ve not been feeling guilty about rest and I’m in a pretty good routine currently so back to here! Crocheting/crafting in general really helps my wellbeing with stuff going on so it’s important to carry on and I’ve got lots of ideas to branch out a bit more than just crochet this year. Going to brand my characters a bit more, put my own patterns out for my characters, get on the sewing machine, learn to use my circuit…so yeah! Glad to be back here, I am slooooowly stocking up the shop with bits and bobs. I’ll be liking everyone’s posts on the feb challenge and I’ll join in tomorrow morning with a listing.

I hope everyone is doing well, looking forward to catch up and really be apart of this community especially as I have no in person events planned at all and hoping to do most of this from the comfort of my home!

Hi everyone, I’m a total newbie to Folksy, having transferred over from Et** (not sure if I am allowed). Just opened my shop (giftsbyLaserBlend). I make laser-cut gifts, personal and customised items. Any tips on getting views and orders are much welcomed.

@GiftsbyLaserBlend I can’t give you any tips, as sales are not coming for me! But I can give you a welcome to Folksy.

A warm welcome to you too @ChocochlobearsCrochet . Sorry to hear ypu have M.E. You do well to make things and run a shop. Wishing you every success.

Hi everyone! I’m Karen ] from Vessels of Curiosity. I’ve recently joined Folksy and am excited to be part of the community. I specialise in hand-sculpted up cycled bottles and other discarded items ( see my old paintbrush ) - everything is shaped by hand without the use of molds to keep each piece unique. Looking forward to meeting more makers and eco-conscious artists here!"
