My mother-in-law always used to say it! Sadly she died a few years ago.  
I had never heard of it before.  
She used to get quite upset if she forgot and would even write herself a note for her bedside table to remind her to say it!

She had lots and lots of little superstitions like this.

It was always ’ rabbits, rabbits’ when I was younger, but you had to say it before you said anything else and then you would receive a gift in that month!! It only seemed to work for your birthday month or December!!

I’m working on lots of white rabbit cards and decorations for my shop - so yes I do say it at the moment they’re on my mind! Also pinch punch 😄
