You are clearly working hard if your machine has been that busy…I think my fingers need servicing Sue…I wonder how many stitches they have done over 10 years
too many I imagine.
Well that comment made me

I’ve had a couple of weeks away from making, back to it refreshed with a couple (pair?) of tripod lamp bases made from the staves of half a whiskey barrel.
Despite a good fit in the glued joint at the top, made using the notch for the lid, they are quite fragile, so I think I’ll make braces for lower down the legs from one of the hoops I removed. I’ve given the oak staves a light sanding and oiled them to preserve the wonderful aged patina (and the burning on the inside) of the staves, do you think I should leave the braces rusty (but stabilised) or clean and paint them?
I’m tending towards rusty at the moment to match with the staves
I would go with rusty but stabilised
Thanks Steve. Yes I think that’s what I’ll do.
This will be my first attempt at a memory wire bracelet, so why the heck did I make it even more difficult for myself by choosing the tiniest beads ever lol
Good grief Sue, what a task you’ve given yourself! Good luck!
So looking forward to seeing you next piece of art.
Wow and that’s a lot of beads. I know that if these were on my crafting table my floor would resemble my failure to not spill the glitter over it. Will look gorgeous when you get to the end.
Looking through my fabric cupboard and found this. Quilt in the making is today’s work. Happy Sunday Folksy folks.
Support further down would also give you an opportunity to add some type of method for tucking the power wire in tidily. I’ve just bought a few floor lamps for my house and had to arrange additional furniture near them to hide the damn trailing wires! ![]()
@kokoblue & @RusticCountryStyleCrafts Well I finally finished it, just have to take some more pictures and type up the description then I can list it.
It’s beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful Sue ![]()
Thank you @RusticCountryStyleCrafts @kokoblue, I hope to get quicker at making them. Practice practice practice as the saying goes
There has been an explosion of flower power on my table - these will hopefully form the covers for some full sized books:
oh my those are lovely, especially like the rabbit one
Thank you Sue @MinpinTowers I was a little disappointed with some of my early experiments and then I hit upon the black outline and they were transformed x
Hmm, thanks for the suggestion, Debbie, I’ll give that some thought.
