This pendant was cast by hand in my home workshop.
The shell was found on a beach walk on the south coast of England and is a pretty, smooth shell with lovely whorls. cast using the delft clay method of casting, which requires the shell to be pressed into the sand to create and exact copy, before pouring in the silver. The shell was quite delicate, so only survived this one casting process. This makes the pendant unique. The beautiful, simple lines of the original shell have been perfectly preserved in this pendant.
The shell is solid sterling silver, hand filed and polished with a sterling silver loop bail. Hall marked at the London assay Office, the pendant also bears my unique makers mark.
The pendant measures 10 x 14 x 11mm approx.
The pendant is supplied with an 18 inch ball link sterling silver chain, stamped 925 for sterling silver. The pendant is a good, solid weight of silver and would make a lovely gift.
