today I have a baby cardigan…my own design and my own pattern…made from acrylic yarn…
please ladies (and don’;t hate me for this ) but wool comes from a sheep and is 100% and has a woolmark on the ball band. Acrylic is “Yarn” that is synthetic.
According to the trading standards, if you are not sure of the yarn you are using, it is OK to put “yarn content unknown” or "Mixed fibres"
I have seen a lot of people saying that their items are made from WOOL…if it IS WOOL, then that is fine but some people only want pure WOOL and would be cross if an item was listed as made from WOOL when it was in fact acrylic…
Wool is WOOL and acrylic is YARN.
I would hate anyone to get into trouble or have something returned because it was not what they were expecting to receive and incorrectly labelled.
I am not pointing the finger at anyone…I have seen this A LOT…and just wanted to point it out to help everyone get their listings within the law.

Indeed Brenda. I only use acrylic yarn or cotton yarn never wool or any other animal based yarn due to be allergic.

cute little V neck

I have some little crochet flowers for applique, card making etc

Eileen I hope my message doesn’t offend anyone but I know of so many people who say that an item is knitted in wool when it is acrylic or synthetic fibres…
Of course if people are knitting for family and friends it isn’t so important but if you are selling, then it is vital to get it right…

I’ve been using African flower motifs to make a blanket for home. I have seen them made into turtles so I and experimented with making one who has become one of the latest additions to my crew!
