It’s ages since I posted here so hope I have got it right.
I love the sea and couldn’t resist adding this lovely shape to my repertoire. Starfish are funny little things (although I’m sure they take themselves very seriously) and I had great fun making this one, with its subtle sea coloured skin (good camouflage) and cheerful millefiori decoration.
A glassmaking technique which combines and fuses bundles of different coloured glass rods into patterns, cuts them into chunks and embeds them into glass items, Millefiori (literally ‘a thousand’ and ‘flowers’) is widely used for paperweights. Yes, and the same principle is used for seaside rock!

Large teardrop enamelled copper pendant in a seascape design in shades of sea blue, sky blue and white.
