Hi Alison, I am going to miss next month as found it quite difficult this month with the horses being stabled. If spring arrives early and they can live out I might join in near the end of the month but if not see you all in March

Hello. Newbie here. Is this the daily challenge where we have a list of words we have to hashtag each day or something different? If it’s the hashtag one is there a list already prepared for feb? Thanks Jeannine
Hi Jeannine,
This is a daily listing challenge where we all try to show a new item every day, so ideally 28 items for February, but nobody minds if you re-show a few. Everyone who takes part agrees to view everyone else’s items and click on the heart under the price (see pic below)
By doing this our items get a chance to be seen on Folksy’s front page under the section ‘Popular right now’ and gives our shops a better chance of being found by customers who land on Folksy’s front page. It takes a bit of work, but everyone will do the same for you and we are a supportive group and there are always virtual cakes and tea to be had!!
If you feel like this is too much of a committment there are other threads on the Forum such as ‘What have you listed today’ where you can just post an item when you feel like it.

I wouldn’t want to say I’d do it and then let people down. I saw somewhere a daily challenge where each day had a theme and you used hashtags that were relevant to your listings. I can’t find it anywhere now but obviously this isn’t the same thing.
You might be thinking of ‘Theme of the Day’ which shows up on the front page. Folksy create a list of tags, one for each day of the month and you can use the tags that are relevant to your items and they will be seen on the front page. The list for the current month can be found on your shop dashboard on the left hand side under the heading ‘Improve your shop’.

You might want to read this Jeannine - it’s Folksy’s blog on how to take part in the Theme of the Day. It’s great fun, and you can use the hashtag #folksythemeoftheday as well on Instagram (as well as on other social media).

Hi Jeaninine @jeanninerundlecreative the challenge is , to list a new item in your shop, every day for the whole month and THEN , you have to go to everyone’s shop ( those taking part) and go to THEIR shop EVERY DAY and click to like their item in THEIR shop…it helps to get us on the front page and get noticed and hopefully get sales… It is hard work so only worth taking part if you can make that commitment…If you look at the current January one, right at the start of the thread, it gives full instructions. Hope that helps…it is not the same as tagging shops x
