What a dilemma! I love this thread and would love to join in, I usually pop in and read it anyway. But I just do not have new items to show you all. I only have 2 or 3 that I haven’t already shared on a monthly challenge before. And I can’t justify making hoards more until some things sell - if ever! I am in awe of all of you who manage to come up with new things every day - wow that’s 365 items a year! And you have SALES, that mean firstly you are covering the listing fees ( or plus fees) and secondly you are not disappearing under masses of unsold items!
I thought about doing all the loving for Oct and just posting a new item on 3 or 4 days, but I know what would happen. On the other 26 days of the month I would be too tempted to post a repeat, in order for newbies to see it, and that would mean the rest of you, the majority, would have seen it, probably ad nauseum, and would think Oh No, not that Again. So, on reflection, probably best if I opt out and just put my occasional new items on the What have you listed today thread, and hope the sales fairy pops over there from time to time!

Maybe you could do what I often do Liz - make items for a couple of months and then show them all in one month.

Hi Carrie @carriescupboard …you will be very welcome to join us but at the moment, you only have one item in your shop. The promise is to list a new item every day for the month, so you technically need 31 items…hopefully you are going list more so that you can take part…looking forward to seeing what you make x

LOL Liz… @samazama I just did a stock take and I have over 450 items in my shop and a further 260 in boxes in my art room…so yes I am snowed under…lol…but quantity helps with sales…so get making…xx

As I have mentioned to others… @floraliafusion ..you need a lot of items in your shop to cover the “list a new item every day for a month”. Your items are fab, so get making …it really is worth it and we are a lovely group of people…xx

The challenge is to show the group an item in your shop every day for the month. You don’t need to have 31 to start, but if you are going to make it through the whole month, you will need 31 items in total, although we don’t mind if you miss a day or two. It’s a great way of motivating yourself to get making and everyone helps to promote each other’s shops. Looking forward to seeing you from Wednesday if you decide to join in.

I am hoping to rejoin in October. I may have to miss a few days next week as I have to take my Mum back to Edinburgh but other than that I should be able to take part. Really looking forward to being part of this lovely thread again x

Don’t panic Carrie, @carriescupboard you can join in anyway,we are all very friendly…it is just that the challenge is to list a different item every day for a month…so you can add items as you go along…you don’t need them in there before you can take part…
I was just pointing out the basis of the challenge…so technically you need to get more in your shop or you won’t have anything new to show each day.

As Alison says , it is a great way to get motivated. ( ha ha)
As well as putting one item a day in your shop or show a different item from your shop for 31 days, you ALSO have to go onto the challenge thread every day, show your item and THEN go to everyone else’s shop…actually click on their item and go to their folksy shop and click the heart next to the picture of their listing…then go back to the thread and on to the next one…so for example if 20 people are taking part, then you have to go and visit 20 shops every day to click the red heart in their shop.
It takes a bit of time but it WORKS and helps to get you sales. xx
If you want more information…go to the September challenge thread and click on it…and right at the beginning there is a list of full information of what to do…( don’t let it scare you…lol…)
To explain…the purpose of all this is, apart from making a lot of new friends, every time someone goes to your shop and clicks on the heart next to your listing, you momentarily get onto the Folksy front page where hopefully people visiting folksy will see your item and hopefully be interested in buying.. So you get seen by more people x
