**I was born in 1960 and gained a degree in Fashion Knitwear at Nottingham Trent University (many moons ago.) I worked as a freelance knitwear pattern designer for magazines and yarn companies for quite a few years.
These days, however, knitting takes a back seat, and I concentrate more on art. I usually work in mixed media, creating folksy style artwork which has a rough, primitive, naivety. Working intuitively and spontaneously I use collagraph printing techniques, brushes and sticks, to create my whimsical paintings and drawings which are full of colour and humour.
I have just licenced 9 of my images to a Canadian production company who are making a new feature film, The Ninth Life Of Louis Drax, starring Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul.**
