Hello!
I’m Marion and I was born in the South of France, but moved to Britain in 1995. I now live in Lancashire with my husband and my little dog, Milou.
I taught French in schools for a few years and then worked as assistant editor for a local publisher. I now give private tuitions, run crafts workshops and have lots of fun being creative.
I have been keen on drawing and painting since childhood, and later taught myself pyrography and polymer clay modelling. I began studying pottery in 2001 at night’s school and became passionate about ceramics. I started selling in 2011 when I launched Blue Butterfly Crafts . In 2013, I bought my own kiln, and I now work from my conservatory. Clay is my favourite medium, however, I still occasionally paint or make greeting cards, and lately I’ve started needle felting. I sometimes mixed both clay and wool to produce unique pieces. I am always eager to learn new techniques, and to try other crafts!
