I live in Brighton with my husband and two small children . My artwork is inspired by my family life here in Brighton, and the beautiful scenery along the South coast. I studied Fashion Design at Nottingham Trent University and subsequently worked in the fashion industry for 12 years before I started my textile artwork. When I daughter was 1 years old she was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. With the extra care that she needed I knew I couldn’t go back to my old job, so I started painting and making.

As a fashion designer I traveled extensively across the globe, the plethora of cultures I had experienced have strongly influenced my current work. Through the subtle use of textile print, embroidery, embellishment and hand painted techniques, i hope my work brings to life the natural beauty and family life on the South coast and Sussex Downs.

I mainly work with hand painted silks, painting onto fabric and free hand machine embroidery depicting my family life here in Brighton and living by the sea.

I also support JDRF charity which funds research in curing Type 1 diabetes
