I’ve always done some kind of craft and enjoy visiting craft fairs etc. On a visit to Blackpool Tower many years ago, I was drawn to the brilliant mosaic art in the entrance and decided to have a go at creating a mosaic. While looking for ideas and inspiration for my new hobby I discovered stained glass and signed up for a lesson at a local studio. This was my new passion - until I decided to try glass fusing. A two day course about 8 years ago convinced me that this was the way forward and I’ve been making bowls, sun catchers, jewellery pendants etc. since then.
Because of the processes involved, no two pieces are ever exactly the same but I do make a number of one design, especially if it seems to be popular, and I’m always on the lookout for new ideas and new techniques.
