Hi! I’m Katrina, a bead looming artist based in the English Lake District. I learned to weave glass seed beads thirty years ago when my sister brought home a wooden bead loom from the Riverside Craft Centre in Kendal. We shared that one loom for a while, then my Mum bought me one of my own. I now own quite a few different looms! My work is inspired by the fells, lakes, Windermere steamers and landmarks of Cumbria and Lancashire. I create in my studio overlooking the charming village of Bowness on Windermere. I love music, nature, owls, the Moon and all things nautical.
