I originated from Somerset & now live in Bedfordshire.

Thank you Mum for teaching me how to knit! She had no idea what that led me on to doing! As a child, I was also keen on drawing and painting. "I want to design stamps and wall paper", I told everyone. But somehow that never materalised.

I went to boarding school where I learnt to do rug making, embroidery, cooking and sewing.

When I left school I wanted an outdoor job - probably because I was brought up on a farm and hated the idea of being shut indoors all day!
I went into Horticulture. In my spare time I enjoyed a whole host of crafting hobbies - all self taught. This included:-

Crochet
Card making
Candle making,
Mosaics,
Marketry,
Calligraphy
Encaustic art
Machine knitting.

I ended up machine knitting many school sweaters for the kids in the village where I lived. There are probably a few more crafts in there that haven't come to mind.

In short, I love crafting and playing with colours. I want to attend craft fairs too which will give me loads more ideas.
