Hi, I’m Lorraine and I live in Sussex with my husband, two children, mum and currently two cats, the latter of which I would happily have more!

I first opened my Folksy shop over 12 years ago now I think, selling jewellery. It was my eldest daughter who inspired me to start making jewellery and I have amazing memories of her helping me sort out the beads. Sadly, in 2013 we lost her suddenly and it all stopped. I returned to work but had to leave to look after my elderly mum in the summer of 2024. I’ve always enjoyed crafting and try and learn something new every so often. This time around, it’s resin and I am blown away by it. Obsessed doesn’t go far enough! But then again, I think most crafters/artists are probably like that. I am constantly looking at my surroundings and coming up with new ideas or recycling and incorporating old bits.

So this brings us to the here and now and me re-opening my Folksy shop. It’s been a learning curve as so much had changed but it’s all positive. I forgot how welcoming and supportive Folksy folks are and am looking forward to being part of the community again. There are amazing sellers and shops here and once I get my tail into gear, I will promote the site more.
