I began as an animator and now I am somewhat screenprinty, a bit textile minded, always drawing, and a mum - who has found it quite tricky juggling professional work with family life, with the constant demands to provide for a growing family, standing still is never an option! Salty’s Studio grew out of a need to earn a living but be on hand for the kids, and whilst we were at it, combine skills with partner Jim. So we have found we could create sellable work through our love of design and print and stay in control of the process by making it all in our home studio. We still pick up commercial work, but the hand printing process keeps us sane and as our business slowly grows, we are finding it opening up new unexpected and delightful doors too!
