I am not ready yet!

I’ve noticed a change too down here on the south coast, but it’s still warm and sunny at the moment. Autumn is my favourite season so I’m quite looking forward to crisp mornings and leaves crunching underfoot…

Really chilly here in Suffolk today, but I don’t mind. I like winter too, and love shuffling through the leaves in autumn, and…the heather is out at the moment so everything is all pinky mauve and hazy

We defer the onset of autumn / end of the summer by taking ourselves off to the south of France in September. Doesn’t half make you feel as if you’ve had a lovely long summer - and have to admit the English summer this year really has been rather lovely.

There is a problem with going away in September and that is that I can expect to be mega busy as soon as I get back - a small price to pay
Which reminds me - off to add notice to Shopfront warning that i wil be closed 1st-22nd September.

I love autumn, but it’s far too soon! Air definitely cooler in the Scottish Borders now. Liz

There is definitely a nip in the air, I go on holiday to Cornwall in September and I think we will have missed the best weather. Although you don’t need summer to enjoy an afternoon tea and chill out with some crochet

I was saying just yesterday that the trees were turning early! I live at the foot of Ventnor Downs so all you see at the back of us is a huge bank of trees from the top of the road above us literally stretching up to the top of the Downs!

My favourite season is Spring, summer is awful In London - too humid stuffy and busy, even though I love bright sunshine, Im not missing the heat. I rather like winter, being wrapped up in big snuggly coats hats and scarfs, the dark evenings are not so good though - can’t have it both ways I guess  Christmas is wonderful though :christmas_tree:

Its definitely getting towards Autumn. Its my favourite season and although I love Summer I love being able to wrap up and get cosy. My only downside to it is the dark mornings. I really dont like having to get up when it still feels like night time. :frowning:

I’ve just filled this year’s first bottle of sloe gin ready to steep till Christmas. And this time I remembered full ‘Personal Protecive Equipment’ so my hands aren’t going to be stained for a week, and I haven’t got another top covered in permanent brown spots from sloe juice!

I’m still trying to keep the summer alive by wearing my cropped jeans and T-shirts. Hopefully it’ll stay with us a little longer. Its very humid here in Devon today.

I enjoy long walks and seeing the yellow and orange shades on trees, leaves falling…just lovely.
But I also try to keep summer alive by wearing summery clothes. It’s not very difficult to do here, as it’s still quite warm, even 20 degrees, and there is lots of green color around.

It’s always summer temperatures in my overheated office, so I wear the same type of clothes at work in summer and winter!

Still warm in the Scottish Borders. Hope it lasts for a while yet. Liz.
