Outdoor plant labels

Hello,
Can anyone help with custom plant labels that can last outdoors? I have a small but growing collection of snow drops and the original labels are plastic which I don’t much like, not to mention some of them are starting to lose the writing, I have made sketches of them all so Ill know once they’re growing which are which but id really like some lovely labels I can leave in the garden, there must be some talented folk here on Folksy who can help?

H,

Have you seen anything or had a reply to your snowdrop labels. I have seen copper plant labels at some garden centres.

Hope that helps, if not we could think about other options.

My own experience is that metal labels with stamped details last the longest. Crazy spoon lady @LooneySpoons does do plant labels, I’m sure she could custom stamp them with your snow drop varieties rather than the usual phrases if you ask her nicely.

I did think of @LooneySpoons to be honest, but not sure how long lasting they would be? I’ll drop her a message, thank you

I think they’d be fine - I occasionally dig up cutlery at the allotment, normally teaspoons presumably from where a previous plot tenant has been having a sneaky cup of tea whilst working, I’ve had the plot for about a decade so who knows when they were lost.

Hi, sorry only just seen this, yes I do stamped plant labels made from old spoons, forks or fish knives, all suitable for use outdoors. And yes I can put whatever text you want on them! The letters are stamped into the metal so will stay legible for ages, and if the paint eventually fades it’s very easy to redo it. Drop me a message with what you’re looking for and I’ll see what I can do!

You could try slate and use gloss paint? You are so much more organised as me. My garden is more of a ‘Surprise, Surprise’ design.

The rest of my garden is very much surprise, surprise, I just don’t want to get my snowdrops in a muddle, plus if I stick labels in I won’t forget they’re there in the summer and accidentally chop through the bulbs with my trowel! There are at least three I’ve lost the labels for and don’t have a clue which variety other than they are not ‘galanthus nivalis’
