Thanks for all the good wishes for my daughter. Got back last night after return trip to Heathrow. Had a bit of a wobbly moment at check in but one diazepam and 30 minutes later was happily chatting with her friend in the cafe and then went off through departures just fine. She has just landed in Jo’burg and I hope the long flight plus a long stopover at Jo’burg will be so tiring there’s no energy left for panic!
I know she, and her sister are so lucky to have these travel opportunities. They were left some money by an aunt of mine and chose to spend it on travel. Much better than drinking it away at uni!
Annalee, @annysgifts she has gone to the Na’an ku se wildlife sanctuary at Windhoek as a volunteer to help with the orphaned cheetahs and baboons. Am a bit jealous really!
Was too tired last night to think of listing but did lots of loving etc bith here and on the other side. Quite busy at work today but will try and list something’s later.

@Rozcraftz What a fantastic opportunity, I am a little jealous too. So glad she got off ok.
I managed to make a few sets of my Christmas fairies and a couple of ACEO’s yesterday, so feel a bit better about being able to keep up with new makes. I’ll focus on participating the thread more than being hard on myself if I don’t have a listing every day if that’s ok.

I can’t believe its September already.
Its back to the grind today after having a nice break
My daughter starts back to school on Wednesday. She doesn’t seem too keen. I think she’s enjoyed having a lie in.
Crazy as it sounds I will probably have more time to create, list and promote now im back to work again.
I work part time so i then devote my afternoon to making goodies.
Its been hard to fit it all in lately with hols, decorating, family stuff etc…
Well Septembers a new start, and I hope to meet the challenge of daily listing

I went to the Range yesterday, which is always bad for my bank balance, and they has a huge sale on christmas card making bits. I have wanted to have a go at card making since going to the hobbycraft fair at the NEC a few years ago, so I got a few things to have a go.

Today, I’ve relisted a few items, including this Pebble iPad Case . . .

The plumber should be coming soon but it’s a case of I believe it when I see it. We’ve had no hot water for well over 6 months but every time he arranges a date he calls off at the last minute saying he’s got held up. We would have gone elsewhere ages ago but we are renting so it’s down to the landlord. We have had a bit of a moan but as a landlord he leaves us alone to do what we want, doesn’t turn up for house inspections etc and lets us keep pets which a lot of landlords don’t and the rent is really reasonable so we try not to complain too much. The shower is fine so we can have a hot shower but for washing up or hubs to have a shave we have been boiling the kettle.
And it gets better! On Wednesday the car is in the garage as it broke down on Friday and that is the earliest we can get it looked at. Its is ok to drive but has gone into ‘safe mode’ so it has lost power. More expense after a hefty vet bill two weeks ago!
I will finish hubs blanket today then I will get a better photo.

Roz @Rozcraftz you have one lucky girls there, my 2 girls are animal mad and are already talking about going out to Africa to be wildlife vets oh and part time smoothie shop owners and fashion designers too, not too sure theres much call for that on the Serengeti but hey they are only 8 and 9 I hope your daughter has an amazing experience out there and we get to see plenty of wildlife pictures too
Jaqueline @JAustenJewelleryDesign I used to do that too with iced gems but I kept the biscuits and put jam on them and sandwiched them together. My mum used to always wonder why we ran out of jam so often.
Off to sort out my listing for today, all clicked and pinned to here so far.
Morning all - Just popped in to check into the new month and to pay my Folksy Bill - only a few pounds but at least it shows I have had a sale at some point. Here’s hoping for a few more sales for us all in the next few weeks. Like everyone else I appreciate Natalie @NOfkantsCurios comittment in keeping us focused and everyone giving us a lift if we feel a little despondent or have a problem worrying us. Roz @Rozcraftz - so pleased to here your daughter is on her way - what an opportunity - I’m green with envy.
