Anyone interested in a December 2019 Daily Listing Challenge?

Hello. It’s fast approaching the end of November, the winter and Christmas is upon us, which means only 1 thing time to Look for those last minute Christmas sales! So if you need a bit of support and motivation to fill up a new shop or just like to have some company over the festive season then why not think about joining in the daily listing thread, we’d love to see you there and we’re always up for a virtual chat.

The Daily Listers Challenge thread is a really friendly group with lots of hugs, support and advice for everyone taking part, new members are always very welcome so why not come and join us and enjoy the community spirit whilst giving your shop a bit of a promotion boost.

If you have not taken part in a daily listing challenge before and are wondering what it is all about, this is how it works:

The daily listing thread is a personal challenge to list an item a day for the month - It is a personal challenge, and we don’t mind if they are new items or re-lists either as long as it’s a different listing each day.

Everyone is made very welcome in the group, but you must be prepared to join in with the spirit of the group and support team members by clicking individual items and promoting others regularly by hearting, pinning, tweeting etc. We understand not everyone is going to be able to list every day and that’s fine too as long as you join in regularly and play fairly.

Once you have listed your item, you come to the thread and show us what you have listed or re-listed, by sharing a link to that item, so we can check it out too.

You will then click on the links and visit the items of your fellow daily listers as a simple way to show you are taking part. Listing members really appreciate that you have stopped by, hearts are welcome too.

Promote not just your own item, but fellow listing members too, in whatever way you are able, by pinning, Facebook liking (you can do this via the Folksy Shop Group Facebook Page if you want), Blogging, Tweeting, or doing a #FolksyFriday just do whatever you can. In this way we all support and promote each other, and help raise awareness of our crafts and of Folksy too, all of which has to be a good thing.

Please remember that although sales cannot be certain, additional promotion can be, which has to be a good thing! so please do pop over and join in you would be very welcome.

I’m back after a break! I sound like Arnold Scharwza…(Can’t spell his name!)
Have been busy with work and life things, like the rest of you, but was going to give up on my Folksy shop, and only concentrate on my gallery sales and Etsy, but I’ve decided to give it one more shot. Will try to join this thread, and thanks for organising!

Hi Natalie @NOfkantsCurios,

I’d like to join in again next month but I doubt I’ll get around to making anything new so if I did it would be re lists each day. Would it be ok to join with just the re lists or would you prefer me too duck out this month?

Thanks again for doing this Natalie.
I will participate whenever I can, but I doubt it will be daily as I won’t have enough new stock, due to working on commissions instead. I might rephotograph, fluff up some older stuff!
I also want to concentrate more on Instagram which has bought me several sales in the past few weeks. I still hope to be here two or three times a week, I really believe in the power of this thread to get our items seen on Folksy. Also, I would like to keep Brenda @teabreaks company on the naughty step.

December is always a bit of an odd month for the daily listing challenge, however I have had sales on both Christmas Day and Boxing Day in the past, so you never know.

Yes please Natalie - although it may be a fair few relists, at least til this fair is done!
Paula @CharmelCraftsandGifts - I don’t think any of us would mind if you just left the end of the November thread & start fresh in December. No one could accuse you of not taking part - you make the effort to reply to so many of us individually, but if it’s getting too much to try & catch up then don’t stress about it or feel that you have to! At least on my part anyway! I know there are some on the thread that just post & run, but you aren’t one of them :slight_smile: xx

Thanks Natalie, I have a lot of bits I listed in bulk when I transferred from the dark side so I should have enough re lists for a different one each day!:rofl: So I’m in again please!
