Hey, are we interested in starting a new version of this thread for the New Year?
If so, my biggest fan was @JillDaviesArt. Thank you Jill for the likes and the follow! Hard to pick one item from your lovely shop, but here’s a beautiful picture of a stormy sea at Portrush:
For those that haven’t joined in with previous editions, the idea is to check your weekly activity stats, find out who has liked the greatest number of items in your shop and post something from their shop here, as above.
My biggest fan this week was @patrickfullerton . Thank you for the likes and for following my shop. Here is a great atmospheric image from Patrick’s shop.
Massive thanks to Shirley from @pirateswag for being my biggest fan for this week! Here is a beautiful pair of knee high socks from her lovely shop, perfect for this weather, and in my favourite colours!
I love your work, and appreciate the compliment on my stormy sea print. It took a while to complete the original watercolour, and remains one of my favourites.
Although I’m not new to Folksy I am new to interacting with other members and I’ve found it really fascinating to be lead to other members work and see the talent on display. I’ve already spied some items I’d like to purchase.
Your enthusiasm has given me the push to view my own shop, although it needs improvement, from a better perspective.
Hey Jill, that’s great, so glad you’re feeling inspired! I’ve found getting involved more here on the forum hugely rewarding too, and as you say, it opens our eyes to the talent that’s out there. I find I’m checking in here most days at the moment.
I agree. So many talented people making so many things. And sellers are also buyers - those that make cards might then look on Folksy if they want some Jewellery, those that make jewellery might look for a picture for the wall, the artists might look for a new cushion cover to add to a room, the person who sews might be tempted by a useful basket and the basket weaver might turn to Folksy to stock up on birthday cards…etc…etc.
Thank you @FelstedFleece for being our biggest fan (last week). We are newbies trying to navigate Folksy and the world of social media marketing. It’s mind blowing and exhausting! Thank goodness there are two of us!
Here’s some gorgeous fleece from this lovely shop, beautiful blues. I’ll have to get needle felting again when I get a bit of spare time!
