Evening
A beautiful sunny, bit chilly day today all the better for spending it with my son
Nicolette @coldhillstudio, I just have a Paypal account and havenât had any problems at all, seems to suit most people as you can still pay by card using that too.
Beautiful pop up card too Nicolette
Here is mine for today

Thanks Carol! and for the info. Folksy seems to be encouraging newer sellers to have Stripe so as I already had experience of this I just connected my shop to that method. Maybe I should also connect to Paypal as another option (if I can have two payment methods)âŚwill give it some thought.
Lovely day here too although the trees must finally have sensed the chill to come next week and seem to have divested themselves of all their leaves over just a couple of daysâŚguess whoâs going to be busy raking tomorrow!!
@cariadcrafts11 @coldhillstudio I only use PayPal and have never had any problems at all - and itâs certainly the case that customers can use any card via the PayPal checkout without having a PayPal account. Also, as many people do already have a PayPal account, that offers them extra protection as PayPal protects all buyers and will refund them if anything goes wrong. I also process all my postage through PayPal which provides yet another layer of protection. Iâm not sure why Folksy is pressuring sellers to use Stripe but I donât think itâs anything like as good and it certainly isnât necessary. I think itâs probably so that they can embed card payments on the Folksy site and not take customers to PayPal - but many people are actually happier going through PayPal. However, if you already use Stripe thatâs a different matter - though I would add PayPal as well if possible
Love this one - so simple and so effective
This is fun I replied to the question about PayPal further down the thread - probably should have replied here, but Iâm not very good at using these Forums yet!
Thanks JennyâŚI have put my shop on holiday mode for the moment while I sort payment issues out. I contacted Folksy and somehow I have missed the fact that I canât actually sell on Folksy without a Paypal Business account anyway⌠so much for thinking I had read all the small print! I had made the assumption when entering shop settings and seeing Stripe being presented (and no mention of paypal at that point) that this was something that would gradually replace Paypal as per the other site I am on. It makes sense to add but obviously there is HMRC to contact and it will take a few days for Paypal to allow payments to go through while they verify everything. Thank you very much for your time in âfeeding backâ it is very much appreciated.
