Lynn @erkinwald I’m so sorry you’ve had to make the decision to close your shop. I shall miss you and treasure the hat and gloves I bought from you  :blue_heart: :purple_heart: :sparkling_heart: :heartpulse:

You’re very welcome Brenda @teabreaks. Thank you. I love knitting entrelac. Someone on Instagram asked me if I do different colours (she see my pink and white one) so I thought it’s just easier to set up a listing.

So sorry to hear that Lynn @erkinwald.

Hi everyone, just popping in to answer a bit about the form.
If the notice is on your dashboard, then according to our records you need to fill it in.
We understand it may feel a bit intrusive and we wouldn’t ask for the information unless we had to, but it’s something that all online platforms are required to do now.

Yes it’s for the calendar year and that doesn’t make much sense to us either, as the majority of people will submit to the tax year, but we’re assuming they’re not trying to match things up exactly, but look for large discrepancies, such as if the reports from platforms show that someone is making thousands more than they declare.

We know it might be confusing if you’re asked to fill it in but only make a few hundred pounds a year, however as their requirements look at the money and number of transactions, that means it is likely to pick up some people like this who sell low value items. Selling 30 cards in a year wouldn’t add up to much, but because it’s 30 it’d need to be reported (hopefully that might be something they review in the future if they realise they’re getting a lot of information which is irrelevant to their needs).

If you’ve been asked to fill it in but do make a low amount, such as you’re under the trading allowance or have confirmed with HMRC you don’t need to fill in tax returns, we don’t expect there should be anything further you need to do. It just means they can check the number against their records and confirm there’s nothing further you need to do.

On a separate note - it’s very sad to see you’ll be closing your shop @erkinwald, we’ll miss seeing your beautiful work, but important you put your health (both physical and mental) first.

Oh that’s very sad. We got used to seeing you in the Forum for a few years! It is definitely a wise idea to look after your hands, I know the feeling too well. I hope you rest and be able to manage everything.

PS Why don’t you keep your shop open and just don’t make new items?

So sorry to read this Lynn @erkinwald , it looks like you have to deal with a lot at the moment, but I do hope things will get better for you, your family & your friends. Don’t forget to make a pause and take a breath, supporting others might be vital for our loved ones and you are such a lovely person for doing it, but also make sure you take the time you need for you. I really hope we will see you back very soon, even if it is only to say hello. Take good care x

Thank you SO much Kim @kimfolksy …I went into panic mode ( as usual)…put it down to old age…lol…
I checked, and for the 15 ( almost ) years that I have been here, I only averaged £500 a year, so I know I am OK and got HMRC to put it in writing for me, which is filed safely away. But it is lovely that you have taken the time to come on here and clarify a few things for us…much appreciated xx

Good afternoon everyone,
Hope the operation went great today Max @MaxPringJewellery and you are already on the recovery path x
Sorry to hear you are not feeling good Hilary @kokoblue , I will agree with the lemsip advice, had a go on them when I was ill before Christmas, and loved them, it was my highlight of the day  Hope you feel better soon x
I was busy this morning burning a couple of pizza boards for a private order, so just the blue snowflake pouch from me today.
Take care everyone x

Hope you feel better soon Hilary @kokoblue
Back to normal here after a very scary day. We got the red alert and the siren on the phone . We had no power for the day and most of the night . We are all electric so it was candles and snuggling under the duvet
I’m not surprised your son couldn’t get to Dalbeattie Brenda @teabreaks . The A75 was closed and countless other roads and loads of tree down. All you can hear today is the sound of chainsaws.
A new purse today

Lynn @erkinwald I am so sorry to hear that you need to close your shop. Your work is beautiful and the scarf I bought from you is gorgeous. You are a very talented lady. But as the others have said, your own health and your family and friends have to take priority.

I do hope that you feel better soon Hilary @kokoblue. Valerie @valerie, that sounds so scary. Glad you are OK.

Today I have a new listing. Some earrings in a style you have seen before, but different colours.
