Daily Listing Challenge & Group Promotion Thread January 2025

Happy New Year & a very warm welcome to the January 2025 Daily Listing Challenge and Promotion Thread.

This is a challenge thread which means that as well as listing and posting your item to the thread you must visit all the other participating shops via their daily link AND :heart: that listing in their shop.

It does take a little time each day but it is well worth it because everyone who joins gets the benefit and the group is a lovely supportive place to be.

HOW TO TAKE PART (AND THE RULES)

Post your item for the day to the Challenge thread by copying and pasting the item URL from your Folksy Shop (don’t worry if you are not sure when you start just ask and someone will help). You can post a newly listed item or something already in your shop it does not matter.

On the Challenge thread click on the links for everyone’s posted item, this will take you to the item in their shop, and hit the items :heart: - this gives the listing a brief appearance on the Folksy front page under ‘Popular Right Now’ (this is the main rule for taking part in the Challenge :sunglasses:)

If you have time you can also promote fellow listers outside of Folksy by pinning on Pinterest, making a Folksy Friday Board, posting on Facebook or Instagram etc.

If you have a Folksy sale while taking part in the Challenge thread post a message on the thread and tag me in so we can all celebrate and have a happy dance with you.

I will keep a tally of sales during the month and will regularly post about these.

The idea is we all do the same for everyone on the thread which gives us all an extra boost, along with virtual hugs and support from everyone in this lovely community.

Please remember to do your bit (clicking on everyone’s items and :heart:ing them) missing the odd day or two is fine (we all have busy lives) but please do not ‘post and run’

Happy New Year one and all. A big thank you to Susan for taking up the reins this month.

No fireworks last night far too windy, expect we will get them if calmer at the weekend, just to terrify all the animals.

Have 8 new listings, will be adding daily. My mojo was back yesterday evening, let’s hope stays for a while.

Good morning and Happy New Year to you all, wishing a month filled with happiness. Thanks to Susan @SusanBettyArt for stepping in this month to look after us and to Sue @SueTrevor for last month.

No plans today for us, it’s blowing a gale out there this morning and most of the night and raining so probably not even a walk today :roll_eyes:. Better nights sleep last night so feeling better this morning. Hope you all have a lovely gentle day xx

Good morning and Happy New Year everyone.

Thank you to Susan @SusanBettyArt for looking after us this month.

I was intending having a quiet New Year’s Eve but decided to watch a rerun of Coldplay at Glastonbury this year and ended up dancing,(I use the term loosely), the night away. Someone had fireworks at 12.15 so Koko was a quivering mess for an hour or so and I’m a bit tired this morning! We have the family coming over for lunch so no chance of a rest today!

Caroline @Caroleecrafts I think you have a typo in your listing, you’ve written the cake opens to reveal a hidden picket and I think you mean pocket?

Just a relist today, I have some new makes but haven’t managed the photos yet.

Happy New Year to all.

I’m going to be spending the day at my Dads, with my nerves and nephews. It’s been a year and a day since they lost their mum, and hopefully it will be the start of a better year for them. First off I’m batch making soup, for group lunch and to stock Dad’s freezer.

My first listing of 2025 is one of my heart fabric hoop pictures, with a Love, Peace and Joy theme.

Happy New Year everyone :tada:

We went up to Nottingham for the ice hockey yesterday, won 9-2, and as it was an earlier start we were home again just after 9pm. Perfect!

I don’t know if it was the weather but I wasn’t woken by midnight fireworks this year, although there were quite a few just as we arrived home. Still really windy here this morning, hopefully it should calm down by lunchtime.

An Anniversary card today, I’ll need to get the daylight lamp out and re-do some of the photos I think as the close ups are a bit dull.

Happy New Year. Hope it’s a good year for sales for everyone.
Loads of fireworks went off last night. Started at 7.42pm and continued on and off until midnight, when there were no end of those loud fireworks. I feel for the wildlife. The gusty wind and heavy rain didn’t deter folk.

Happy New Year to you all. It is good to be back doing this thread again - I felt a bit guilty in December as I wasn’t officially doing it , so wasn’t loving or listing, but I kept popping in and reading all the news! Loved all up to here, and here is an item from me. All those that have seen it before can just ignore!

Some handsewn patchwork bookmarks . Inexpensive little gift. I’ve priced them so if you buy more than one it works out cheaper per item

Good morning and happy new year to everyone. It is lovely to be back I have missed my daily fix of craftiness, gossip and silliness.

I am a bit bleary eyed and stiff after a night out which included gin and dancing - I think it was the Hokey Cokey that has done for my knees!

Sharon @TheOldButton I hope you and the family are able to have a good day remembering your sister it will be tough for all but lovely that you are all together. Hugs to all particularly the nieces and nephews who lost their mum :heart:

So after a month out just playing around with ideas I have decided to commit myself to folksy for another year and I have a stamp to prove it!

I am going to concentrate on hand painted small things and cards which sold well at the Christmas markets and I am going to try and do some more face to face selling this year which has been quite successful for me.

If anyone is interested I have marked down quite a bit of last year’s work - there is a sale section in my shop.

Good morning and Happy 2025 everyone!
Thank you Susan @SusanBettyArt for being our mum this month. I tried to keep up with the news last month but it just got too busy during Christmas time. Glad to be returning in the challenge this month and to some normality as well! :laughing:
I have no listing today as I am officially opening tomorrow, so will use the day to sort out the shopfront and take a few pictures. Have loved everything up to here though and will keep popping in x
