Folksy 365 - Daily Listing and Group Promotion Thread - October 2022

Sounds like your brother could do with a pacemaker Carol @Knittingtopia, my Dad had one about 8 years ago and he’s never looked back, he’s 92 now.
Can you not use gloves Roz? @OrchardFelts , that’s not very good for your hands.
I’m a lunatic too, always wakeful during a full moon. I used to stay up drawing before I had to be up at silly o’clock every morning.
Loved your owl Caroline @Caroleecrafts

big hug Natalie @NOfkantsCurios and hope you have a better night tonight. I have heard a lot of people saying about disturbed sleep and the hunters moon.

Hope your brother is much better now @Knittingtopia

Hope all went well at work Natalie @NOfkantsCurios and they agreed to give you the time off. Have you had the biopsy results back yet?
Sorry to hear your brother is still struggling Carol @Knittingtopia
Hugs to everyone (whether you need it or not!)

Marion @WestcountryCreations - unfortunately I don’t seem to be very successful felting soap when wearing gloves but then I usually only make a few batches a year as I only sell it at craft fairs so I don’t suffer too much  I do wear gloves when I can when doing other wet felting though.

I intended to get on here earlier today but got involved making a couple of scarves so have only just managed to take some photos and write a new listing. Another picture -

The good news is I’ve had four sales so far this week; the less good news is none of them were via Folksy (nothing here since August). Still, after the last couple of months any sale is good!
I cut down live events running up to Christmas years ago, as I was always so busy with online sales, but I’m seriously considering whether I should do something in November if the postal strikes are still on.

A little purse today:

Back again with a question. I have been doing a lot of tweaking on the other selling site which is why I’ve not listed anything new on here for a while, but need to start thinking about where I’m going with Folksy. On the other side I sell quite a lot of sewing patterns which people download easily from there. Does anyone sell patterns on Folksy? How does it work? I think I have to email patterns to customers, but if I’m away I can’t do that as I would be sending them from my desktop computer. I don’t even have to think about it on the other side and can go on holiday without having to do anything. Not sure whether it’s worth doing patterns on Folksy or if it’s too much trouble.

I think he needs a pacemaker but since this all started back in December, they seem to be doing loads of tests but very little else. He has kidney failure too and that’s just been getting worse. He was told he’s just off needing dialysis but nothings been done to stop it getting that far.

Thank you! I really enjoyed doing them - they are all dog portraits I have hand drawn for people throughout the year - then i’ve drawn festive hats to add to them. Was fun!!

Evening all.
Can I add 1 to the tally please Max @MaxPringJewellery

Hope your brother is more stable today Carol, it must be terrifying to have to drive someone to A&E in the middle of the night with breathing difficulties. @Knittingtopia

Hope sleepless folk catch up on their zzzz’s tonight.

Just a relist from me today. Can’t believe this has expired already, only feels like last month I made it.

It’s not nice that’s for sure. I’m CPR trained because of my job but I don’t relish putting that training into action.

Feel for you @forgetmenotcraftsanddesign - I seem to spend more time sorting out things for my mum these days than I do dealing with my own affairs. Today I managed to get a gas connection booked in for her (she qualified for a central heating grant - at this rate it’ll be next year before the heating is in, but one step at a time and won’t look a gift horse in the mouth).
Also an audiology appointment for when I’m next there (hopefully they’ll get her sorted out with a hearing aid to cut down on the shouting). Both happening next time I’m there so that’ll be fun

Here’s a new one.

Morning all.

Busy day today. I’m taking my step-grandchildren home this morning and then taking my daughter to have some blood tests this afternoon (she usually passes out so has to be accompanied and her boyfriend will be at work).

Something a little different today

Oh Carol @Knittingtopia hugs for you and thoughts for your brother…dialysis is awful. My hubby went on dialysis and it meant going to hospital for 3 days every week…for the rest of his life…I hope he can keep away from it for as long as possible x
