Happy December folks.
Rainy and dull here …But off to the opening of a new craft outlet in Cardigan . They want to have a few of my bits in there but as I have a few things in another place in Cardigan, not sure because of the unwritten agreement of only having your stuff in one outlet … Do you all abide by this ? The new place does look exciting on the website though . The boss of original place says its up to me :grimacing: Will go and check it out !!
Have a good Saturday all … My daughter is outside getting wet ; first day of selling Christmas trees today :upside_down_face:

Hello,
Happy December. I’m sorting my things for a craft fair next Saturday, I’ve just bought an iZettle and had to walk up to the old church where the fair will be held to test it out. I was worried that I wouldn’t get a phone signal through the thick walls! But it worked fine. Does anyone know what the VAT setting does? It’s at 20% by default, but you can change it to 5% or 0% - does it make any difference to what you get paid, or is it just for the purposes of the receipt?

I love your angels Sarah @thedotterypotter. Your beaded earrings are lovely Cynthia @Brockstones

My listing is made from a pendant I found in my stash the other day, just a quick make.

Ooh, apparently it’s the anniversary of the day I joined the Folksy community! I have a little cake next to my name, sadly only virtual cake :cake::cupcake:

Thanks for the love and the cake. Love your pendant too - very unusual

Rachael @AppleQueenJewellery I used my izettle for the first time on Thursday night at a craft fair and it worked beautifully. Mine says 20% vat too but it didn’t affect what I was paid. I took Ā£99 in card payments and all I was charged was Ā£1.74 so I think it will be good

I have just listed something and when I went to the main screen to see it I had to scroll right down until newest items came up. Who is going to bother looking when they don’t come up on the main screen?

Valerie @valerie - I think we are all wondering about the impact of moving the recently loved items further down the front page will have on threads such as this on the forum. Personally, I try to always pin and tweet and occasionally share/love on FB and am sure (or hope) others do the same so there is still considerable promotion to be had by joining in… and the challenge of listing something new every day is a good incentive to get working

Just back from my craft fair in a small village, so not very many attenders, but managed to sell three things, and it was only 5mins drive from home, so not complaining.

Will click and pin in a minute! My item for today is a factted glass and crocheted hanging angel decoration.

Many thanks Max for organising this thread again.
Happy December all.
Congratulations on your anniversary cake Rachael @AppleQueenJewellery. Such a shame your fair was a washout Karen @TheCornishHare. I’ve had a good fair today and it’s depleted my Folksy shop a bit, hoping I get a bit of time to replenish it.
A relist from me today

Sounds good, I hope I do that well too! Did you offer to email/text their receipts, and did they take you up on it?
