A satisfyingly chunky wooden pot for pens or pencils, turned from a piece of sycamore which has the most beautiful and varied figuring. The pot has been turned with a 25mm bead which has then been painted with black acrylic and then raised dots added with a gel medium, giving a raised beaded finish. The pot stands 118mm tall and 95mm in diameter with an internal height of 93mm, the difference being solid wood. The pot is finished inside and out with beeswax which gives a soft sheen and the bead band has been covered with clear lacquer.
