International Cat Day is coming up on 8th August , and we’d love to shine a spotlight on the whiskered wonders who keep you company while you create!
Whether your cat is a curious studio supervisor, a nap-time enforcer, a thread-chasing troublemaker, or just there to offer quiet encouragement (and the occasional dramatic interruption) - we want to see them!
Drop a photo of your creative cat below and tell us all about him/her/them!
We’ll be sharing a selection on Folksy’s socials on the 8th to celebrate the day!
Let the purring, posing, and playful chaos commence!
Bella is an old girl now - and she’s been on my PhotoFairytales journey since the very beginning! She’s usually asleep but occasionally she wakes up and claws her way up my back ( ) until she can climb over my shoulder to make a leap for my desk. Yes, it’s as painful as it sounds!
Her hobbies include yowling for food, eating, thinking about eating, sleeping after eating and eating (have I said that already?). She dislikes bubble wrap, the sound of the sellotape, when I take her off the desk, and not eating. She loves the dog but she’d never tell him that to his face.
Such a lovely idea.
Bella turns 12 in August and since her sister passed away last year she’s become even more of a diva.
Obviously, I’d wanted to take a photo of her and not the scarves!
Panther is 3 in August . I adopted him through the Cats protection league 2 years ago . He has made himself quite st home and is constantly bringing me gifts of shrews and mice- bless him !
This is my Lilah (Lilah Lou Lou for short). I was actually trying to photo a bundle of my cat goodies (all inspired by her), when she jumped up and had to know what I was doing!! If I didnt crop the photos, her nosy nose would be in all my listings! Shes the best work distraction. She was a rescued feral kitten, not that you could tell from the amount of loving she gives and wants. Her sister Gracie (Gracie Baby):
is also a rescue, and walking purr machine. Gracie isnt as nosy as Lilah, but she does have a complete obsession with knocking water over, and watching it spread everywhere. Maybe if I place some paint down, she’ll get into watercolour?
Im very appreciative to my girls for making sure I take breaks (to feed them), and I know I would be 100% more stressed without them
