Just a heads-up that there’s a new series of courses called ‘Making It Work’ that starts today. It’s not a Folksy course, but it is run by The Design Trust who are one of our trusted suppliers and always offer such great advice for small creative businesses - including in the webinars they run for our Folksy Plus members.
This is a series of five professional development sessions that The Design Trust created in partnership with London Potters, so it’s especially great for ceramicists but could also very useful for anybody creating handmade products.
It promises to be a great series that really covers the basics, with loads of advice around marketing and selling online too.
It’s the first time in the last few years that The Design Trust are offering a series of short 2.5-hour sessions rather than a more in-depth course of 4-6 weeks, so it’s a great opportunity to boost business, planning, finance + marketing skills in manageable bites.
